Frequently Asked Questions

What is 90-Second Fitness?

90-Second Fitness is an advanced strength training program that can give you maximum results in as little as one workout per week. The program is supported by several fitness facilities in New York City and the best-selling book The 90 Second Fitness Solution.

How does 90-Second Fitness work?

It is commonly agreed upon that increasing your strength has numerous benefits to your health. However, increasing strength without adding bulk has been nearly impossible until recently. 90-Second Fitness increases the intensity of your workout by using special techniques that are safe and effective. By using these 90-Second techniques, you can obtain the benefits of a week's worth of strength training in a single fifteen minute session.

What about those with medical conditions?

90-Second Fitness has proven to be beneficial in helping or reversing the following conditions: Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, Tension Headaches, and Low Back Pain. By working closely with your doctor or therapist, your 90-Second Fitness Specialist will design a program specifically for your needs and adhere to the strictest safety guidelines. Using 90-Second Fitness to strengthen your body when you are suffering from illness or injury is the best thing you can do for yourself. By getting stronger you will have the strength to fight back!

Why once a week?

Once a week...how is that possible? Strength increases come during the rest between workout periods, not during the workout itself. After working and exhausting a muscle, rest, repair, and regrowth is required before the next workout to ensure progress is made each and every time. Muscles can recover in as little as 2 to 3 days and as many as 5 to 7 days, depending upon the level of intensity of the workout and your personal recovery ability.

Is it possible to workout more than once per week?

One workout per week ensures adequate rest between workouts, but more workouts per week are possible. There are many different 90-Second Fitness programs to accommodate each person's needs, schedule, and recovery ability.

What about cardio?

Movement in general is a good thing. Cardio activity is encouraged, but you should make strength training your first priority. Strength training is essential to the overall program, in that being stronger will ensure optimal performance of other activities. And if that is not enough, you should try our 90-Second Cardio workouts! We do a half hour of cardio training in 90 seconds. Sounds unbelievable, doesn't it?

Can 90-Second Fitness be used in conjunction with other exercise programs?

Yes. Think of 90-Second Fitness as an ESSENTIAL part of your exercise program. One that enhances all other forms of exercise. All other forms of exercise will benefit greatly from being stronger.

What can 90-Second Fitness do for you?

90-Second Fitness will simplify your strength training program in a way that you never thought possible. It shows you how simple and effective strength training can be without a huge time commitment.

Is this the same as SuperSlow, Slow Burn, Power of 10?

No. 90-Second Fitness is quite different. Some people have described 90-Second Fitness as "Yoga with weights". Others have said it's the most intense workout they've ever had. Either way, 90-Second Fitness does not share the same philosophy as SuperSlow, Slow Burn or Power of 10. Hundreds of people have already switched from SuperSlow to 90-Second Fitness and report complete satisfaction. For a more detailed answer about the differences between 90-Second Fitness and SuperSlow, check out "Don't Call Us SuperSlow" in the articles section.

Can 90-Second Fitness be used for children?

Yes. There is a special 90-Second Fitness program for kids of all ages. The program is safe, fun and children will walk away from their session with a sense of accomplishment.
